Your First Visit

Your first visit at The Center for Adult Dentistry is an important opportunity for us all to get to know one another. You will meet our friendly, front-desk team members and enjoy a comfortable, relaxing environment in our waiting room area before being invited back to the hygiene and treatment area.
A typical new patient appointment includes full-mouth digital x-rays, a full evaluation and a consultation to discuss what's happening with your mouth, teeth and gums. This is a great opportunity for you to share particular concerns, questions or goals for your dental health. If your teeth and gums are in sufficient health for a hygiene treatment, prophylaxis is a standard part of dental appointments. This is the professional cleaning of your teeth by one of our hygienists in order to remove tartar and plaque build-up. Hygiene treatments are an essential part of maintaining optimal oral and dental health.
For new patients who are taking advantage of our Complimentary New Patient Consultation in order to discuss more complex restorative or cosmetic treatment, the dental assistant will take up to 3 x-rays in order to have a clear picture of your oral and dental health. After taking x-rays, the dentist will perform a thorough evaluation to diagnose and develop treatment plan options suited to your particular case. Our goal is always to educate and explain the options so that you can make informed decisions about your oral and dental health.
PRIOR TO YOUR APPOINTMENT
To prepare for your upcoming appointment at The Center for Adult Dentistry, please complete the New Patient Information forms. For your convenience, our office offers secure, online patient registration so that you can enjoy a quicker, more relaxing dental visit. If you prefer, you may also download and print your new patient forms here or complete the forms in our office. To complete the forms in-office, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment time in order to check-in and complete the necessary forms.
AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT
At the completion of your appointment, the dentist or hygienist will provide any instructions necessary for necessary aftercare. Please follow the instructions closely and contact our office immediately if you experience any complications or adverse reactions to your dental treatment. If your appointment includes any type of surgical procedure, please reference the post-operative instructions provided by our office to ensure proper healing and recovery.
Payment Options
At The Center for Adult Dentistry, our goal is to provide every resource necessary for patients to receive the dental care they need. We accept all credit cards, PPO plans, cash, check, or money order. Our office also accepts healthcare financing through third-party vendors.
